Tesla to Open New Collision Repair Center in Miami

By Nehal Malik
Not a Tesla App

Tesla is preparing to expand its footprint in South Florida with a new collision center designed to handle heavy-duty bodywork and structural repairs. The planned facility in Miami Gardens will give local owners direct access to factory-grade repair bays, cutting down turnaround times across one of the densest EV regions in the country.

According to a report from the South Florida Business Journal, the project involves converting an existing 64,059-square-foot warehouse at 1600 NW 165th Street within the Sunshine State Industrial Park. The proposal outlines a 45,706-square-foot facility with 26 dedicated EV repair and service bays on the 3.5-acre property. Tesla reportedly acquired this property earlier this year.

Dedicated Structural Repairs Over Routine Service

Unlike standard service centers that primarily tackle software diagnostics, tire rotations, and minor part swaps, this Miami Gardens facility will also be equipped for more serious structural and cosmetic restoration. The structure will get a Tesla-themed facelift, along with a requested parking variance to drop spaces from 245 down to 140 to optimize indoor floor space.

The location sits right near Tesla’s high-volume delivery hub and showroom on 20850 NW 2nd Avenue, providing much-needed relief for local service logistics. Alongside recent retail expansions in the region, such as the showroom and service center at the Palms at Town & Country in Kendall, adding dedicated collision repair bays ensures owners don’t have to wait weeks for third-party body shops to secure parts or calibrate sensors.

Backing a Growing Autonomous Presence

Tesla’s push for heavy-duty regional repair hubs also aligns with broader infrastructure shifts across the country. As part of this expanding support network, Tesla is also planning private charging hubs and centralized fleet depots for its commercial Robotaxi vehicles to keep operations running smoothly.

South Florida remains a prime testing ground for those efforts. Tesla launched unsupervised Robotaxi rides in Miami earlier this summer, establishing the metro area as one of just seven active Robotaxi markets. While Cybercab rides remain exclusive to Austin for now, Miami stands near the front of the line to receive the purpose-built autonomous vehicles down the road.

Building out dedicated first-party body shops ensures Tesla has the internal bandwidth to service customer cars and maintain commercial fleets without relying on third parties. As permits clear local planning boards, the Miami Gardens location should give Tesla owners in South Florida access to faster and more reliable collision repairs.

By Nehal Malik

Tesla frequently adjusts its official online store, shuffling prices, retiring older inventory, and introducing fresh accessories. Over the past month or so, the U.S. Tesla Shop received several notable updates, ranging from new apparel and heavy-duty Cybertruck utility upgrades to playful additions for your pets.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s new on the Tesla Shop, along with recent pricing adjustments and quiet product departures.

Price Changes

Tesla adjusted pricing across several existing accessories and parts over the last few weeks. These shifts reflect regular inventory balance changes, supply fluctuations, and seasonal updates. Check out a full rundown of items that saw price increases or discounts in the table below.

New Items

The latest batch of additions focuses heavily on Cybertruck utility, and as always, there’s plenty of new Tesla apparel to represent the brand. Tesla has even turned its adorable Dog Mode (now called Pet Mode) mascot into a plushie and chew toy — finally!

Cybertruck Bed Gear Box

For truck owners looking for lockable bed storage, the Cybertruck Bed Gear Box is now available for $985. Designed to mount directly to the bed’s integrated L-track system, this aluminum box keeps tools, emergency gear, and road-trip supplies secure under lock and key.

The box measures 55.78 x 19.80 x 7.79 inches, weighing in at 57.32 pounds. It also includes two drop-in organizing bins to keep smaller items from sliding around inside.

Cybertruck Tailgate Utility Track

Priced at $350, the Cybertruck Tailgate Utility Track is built to help secure oversized cargo and prevent items from shifting over the edge. The aluminum track mounts onto the tailgate and features a T-slot channel alongside two L-track attachment points. It ships with two adjustable load stops and is compatible with all Cybertruck trims.

Dog Mode Plushie

Taking inspiration from the animated pup that shows up on the vehicle touchscreen when you activate Pet Mode, the Dog Mode Plushie arrives at $35. It’s a soft, cuddly white stuffed animal made from 100% polyester, offering owners and kids a tangible version of the fan-favorite cabin climate mascot.

Dog Mode Chew Toy
