Just days after the initial, highly anticipated rollout of FSD V14.1 to a small group of early-access testers, Tesla is already pushing a new iteration: FSD v14.1.1. This rapid follow-up with software update 2025.32.8.6 appears to be a direct response to initial feedback from the Tesla community on FSD v14.1.
Targeting Smoothness and Brake Stabbing
While the architectural leap of V14 has been praised, many of the first testers of v14.1 reported some initial teething problems. Key among the complaints were a general lack of smoothness and, more jarringly, instances of FSD stepping on the brakes when trying to make a split-second decision in complex scenarios.
The official release notes for V14.1.1 are identical to those for FSD v14.1, which indicates that this is a bug-fix and performance-tuning release aimed at resolving the initial issues being flagged by testers.
The Release Cycle Continues
This update follows Tesla’s well-established FSD rollout process. The new FSD V14.1.1 build is currently being sent out to the same group of early-access testers. They will put the software through its paces over the next few days.
If feedback is positive and critical issues are resolved, this version will likely become a candidate for a much wider public rollout. If not, we can expect to see another point release, likely v14.1.2, before Tesla moves on to FSD v14.2.
This update still does not provide FSD v14 support to the Cybertruck, which is on a separate development path thanks to its all-wheel steering, and is expected to receive its own feature-complete version of V14 later this month.
Furthermore, as v14.1.1 is built on the 2025.32 software branch, the early access testers still won’t have access to the new features from 2025.38, including 3D maps and Tron Mode.
The release of v14.1.1 shows the FSD team is working quickly to refine the massive v14 update based on real-world feedback, before pushing it to the broader fleet.
