Yesterday, Tesla released FSD v14.1.3 to early-access testers, following a few days of testing the build internally. However, just hours after early-access users received the update, non-influecers also started receiving this latest beta.
Going Wide?
FSD v14 underwent a series of minor releases, primarily focusing on bug fixes. Tesla initially released FSD v14.1 to influencers, followed by v14.1.1 and v14.1.2, which introduced Mad Max mode, before releasing this latest version to additional owners.
Just a couple of days ago, Musk announced on X that FSD v14.2 would be the one that finally goes wide and becomes available to most, making yesterday's surprise release even more exciting.
Although this first wave was relatively small, it’s the first sign that this FSD update will be the one that becomes available to most owners in North America. If no major issues are found, we could see additional waves as early as tonight.
When a new FSD build becomes available, especially one as major as FSD v14, owners should remember that it can include regressions and requires extra care when driving.
Supported Models
FSD v14 had, up until now, only been available on the Model 3 and Model Y. However, with this release, we’re now seeing it available on the Model S and Model X for the first time. The Cybertruck is unfortunately still MIA, but Tesla’s VP of AI has stated that the Cybertruck will receive the full feature set of FSD v14, likely by the end of the month. This will be a major upgrade for the truck, which still doesn’t include all the features from FSD v13, such as Start FSD from Park.
What’s New
FSD v14.1.3 carries over the same release notes as v14.1.2 — including the “Mad Max” driving profile that allows higher speeds and more aggressive lane changes. For anyone new to this version, note that the speed offset is now gone from settings, and the driving profile now determines how fast the vehicle travels.

The video below, of FSD v14.1.2, is impressive and shows off how FSD v14 can handle construction, traffic, pedestrians, and drop-offs, even in a busy city such as New York City. Have a watch if you haven’t seen it yet, as it’s one of the more impressive videos we’ve seen.

Map Update
As if FSD v14.1.3 wasn’t enough, there appears also to be a map update coming. A photo circulated from an employee’s vehicle, showing FSD v14.1.3 available for download. Interestingly, it also included a new map update, version NA-2025.44, which hasn’t been made available publicly yet.
While we now know that this update isn’t required for FSD v14.1.3, it hopefully includes some improvements that benefit FSD, such as better speed limits.

After such a long update since the last FSD release, it’s exciting that this next major version is now going out. Hopefully, we’ll continue to see this update roll out in larger waves in the coming days. However, this isn’t the end of the road for FSD v14, as Tesla is already planning to release FSD v14.2 and v14.3 before the end of the year.
