Tesla ECHO: Tesla's Customer Feedback Portal

Not a Tesla App
Karan Singh

Last month, Tesla finally rolled out an official feedback tool, titled Tesla ECHO. This is the start of an official feedback platform designed to capture owner experiences across Tesla’s entire ecosystem.

The feedback form is accessible at ts.la/feedback, making it easy to go to when you’ve got something important to pass on to Tesla’s internal teams. This tool is a step toward more structured communication between Tesla and its community, instead of relying on X for user feedback, which may or may not be seen by an employee.

How ECHO Works

Launching ECHO requires a quick login through your Tesla account on the website. There is currently no way to submit feedback from within the car or through the Tesla app, but app integration will be added in the future.

To begin, you can select from a list of categories to pinpoint your concern or feedback.

  • Service

  • Sales

  • Delivery

  • Insurance

  • Robotaxi

  • Supercharging

  • Energy

  • Vehicle

  • FSD

  • Other

A spacious textbook follows, with no character limit. This encourages users to submit extremely detailed descriptions of issues or suggestions. Tesla also prompts you to provide key information or relevant details for your issue or suggestion. For issues in particular, they also request you to provide steps you’ve already taken to try and resolve it.

As you’re logged into your Tesla account to submit feedback, Tesla can pull whatever information it requires from your account, including vehicle telemetry, if needed to help diagnose the issue.

You can also attach images directly, ideal for documenting things - after all, a picture is worth 1,000 words. This can help immensely when dealing with an intermittent issue that can come and go, or one located at a specific Supercharger location.

Upon hitting submit, an immediate email confirmation arrives, complete with a unique ticket number. Both the form and email note that Tesla may reach out for follow-up.

Improving Communication

ECHO consolidates what was once a fragmented process - scattered emails, service ticket reports, or social media posts - into a single, trackable system for Tesla. While FSD users are still encouraged to leave voice notes on disengagement, this will help feed Tesla critical information about other issues, like the recent issue with the Cybertruck motor controller.

Tesla confirms integration into the mobile app is in development, eliminating the web detour for a seamless in-app experience.

Tesla’s feedback process to date has been relatively opaque. You could make a post on X, yelling into the void, and nothing would happen. Now, you can submit key issues - whether it be service-related, Supercharger-related, or even vehicle-specific - through this new form.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on how Tesla responds to these submissions, because it makes a big difference in whether they just use this as an input platform or actually reach back out to customers.

We’ve submitted a few feedback suggestions ourselves already, so head on over to ts.la/feedback and test ECHO out on your latest idea or concern.
