Just as usual, we’ve got you covered, so buckle up - the full, organized recap of the 2025 Shareholder Meeting is available below. It was an exciting event and included some of the most important Shareholder votes we’ve seen to date.
Most importantly, Elon’s 2018 Pay Package, as well as the new 2025 CEO Performance Award, were both successfully passed at the Shareholder Meeting. In addition, Tesla’s Board promised to look into the xAI investment due to the significant shareholder interest in the matter.
The biggest takeaway is that Tesla has truly set their mission statement up front: Sustainable Abundance. It’s the new chapter for Tesla, and one that the entire Executive Team is pushing for. Sustainable Abundance covers EVs, Solar, Energy Storage, Optimus, and Charging - every business that Tesla is in.
FSD
Every Tesla vehicle is designed to be autonomous
Tesla’s sales and service teams are pushing customers to try FSD more
People who try often proceed with subscribing or buying, and the conversion rate has grown
Challenges remain in informing people of the capabilities of FSD
FSD V14 and its point releases are where Tesla is getting comfortable with the idea of FSD Unsupervised, namely, texting and driving
Elon mentioned that the goal is within the next few months, based on safety statistics, to begin opening this up
Tesla has seen, by solely FSD use (not Autopilot) across the last year:
85% fewer crashes
35K fewer fatalities
2M fewer injuries
FSD V14.3 will be the “Fall asleep and wake up at your destination” build
FSD transfer will be extended another quarter
Robotaxi
Tesla is aiming to expand Robotaxi to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, and Miami
Tesla has once again confirmed their intent to have no safety drivers in Austin by the end of 2025
AI Hardware
AI5 will be made in:
TSMC Fabs in Taiwan and Arizona
Samsung Fabs in Korea and Texas
These fabs will move on to producing AI6 in the future

Tesla’s largest challenge right now is producing enough AI chips

Big focus on safety - robots are powerful, but they must be safe for humans to be around
Tesla is aiming for an extremely fast production ramp
1 million unit production line at the Fremont factory
10 million unit production line at Giga Texas in the far future
4 million units per year by the end of 2027, aspirationally
Once mass production begins, Tesla is aiming to hit the $20K USD price target
Optimus shares a lot of technology with Tesla’s vehicles:
Actuators, Power Electronics, Battery, Audio, Cameras, AI Chips
Manufacturing, Data Communication, Training Cluster, Neural Sims
Optimus is the robot with arms and legs, while the cars are robots with wheels
Forearms and hands are extremely challenging to engineer effectively

Dry cathode will have some cost advantages over a wet cathode

Semi is designed for autonomy, but will be a target for after Unsupervised FSD for consumer vehicles is solved

Roadster
Founders-Series Roadster owners will all receive invites to the Roadster V2 Reveal
Not essential to Tesla’s mission, but it is the cherry on the icing on the cake
There should be cool and awesome technology like the Roadster - it will be an inspiring product
Roadster’s tech will likely not make it into Tesla’s mainline product lineup
Unveil should be April 1st of 2026, with production 12-18 months after
Tesla Energy
Static Storage is still one of Tesla’s biggest businesses
Sustainable abundance is powered by sustainable energy, held aloft by batteries
Tesla is still improving and iterating on utility-scale batteries
Megablock is 91% energy efficient between charge and discharge
Megablock V2 will integrate substation power electronics, cutting installation complexity and time
