Tesla is making it a lot cheaper to own its fastest truck, but it comes at the cost of some legendary perks. The automaker has officially discontinued the $15,000 Luxe Package for the top-tier Cybertruck Cyberbeast in North America, bringing the starting price down from $114,990 to a much more digestible $99,990.
The move effectively shifts the Cyberbeast into a more competitive price bracket, putting all three available Cybertruck trims under the $100,000 mark. However, while the lower price tag is great for your monthly payment, the loss of the Luxe Package means you're missing out on some features that actually saved you money in the long run.
What’s No Longer Included With a Cyberbeast
When you ordered a Cyberbeast before this week, that $15,000 premium didn't just buy you a badge. It was a massive bundle of software and service perks that Tesla is now stripping away to hit that sub-$100k goal. Here is what is no longer included:
Full Self-Driving (FSD): The Cyberbeast used to come with a lifetime license for Tesla's advanced driver assistance software. Now, since Tesla discontinued the one-time purchase option for FSD earlier this month, new owners will have to shell out for a monthly subscription to use it.
Free Lifetime Supercharging: This was perhaps the most valuable part of the deal for heavy drivers. With this gone, you’ll be paying at the plug just like everyone else.
Four-Year Premium Service: This was a comprehensive protection plan that covered everything from wheel and tire damage to windshield protection and recommended maintenance.
Free Premium Connectivity: Normally a $99 per year subscription, Tesla’s Premium Connectivity package gives owners access to satellite-view maps, live traffic, and in-car streaming, and more.
Earlier this month, Tesla also made the FSD license in the Luxe Package non-transferable, so the writing was likely on the wall for this bundle. It’s also worth noting that while the Luxe Package is still available on the Model S and Model X, both of those cars are slated to be discontinued later this year.
The New Cybertruck Lineup
This pricing shuffle arrives alongside the launch of the new Cybertruck Dual Motor AWD trim. Here is how the lineup currently stacks up:
Cybertruck Dual Motor AWD: $59,990
Cybertruck Premium (formerly Long Range) AWD: $79,990
Cybertruck Cyberbeast: $99,990
While it’s exciting to see a Cyberbeast for five figures, don't get too comfortable with these numbers. Elon Musk has already confirmed that the new Dual Motor AWD variant’s $59,990 base price is a 10-day limited offer, meaning the floor for the Cybertruck is likely about to go back up very soon.
