Tesla is finally preparing to put its most ambitious vehicle yet into the hands of customers. While the all-electric hauler was officially unveiled in its redesigned form last fall, new footage from CoreMemoryVideos is giving us our first detailed look at the final production interior and the dedicated factory floor where it will be built.

The redesigned Tesla Semi is a significant departure from the early prototypes seen years ago. With customer deliveries expected to start in the coming months, these sightings suggest that the production ramp in Nevada is well underway.

The latest cabin tour reveals a refined driver workspace, featuring two 16-inch touchscreens that flank the central driving position. Safety and autonomy appear to be major focuses as well, with the cabin now being equipped with 10 external cameras and an internal cabin camera. These will likely be used for safety features initially, such as automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist, but Tesla is likely already considering FSD for the Tesla Semi as well.

Tesla has also addressed practical driver feedback. The cupholders have been moved further up for easier access, and there is now a larger side storage area next to them.

Modern touches like wireless phone chargers have been integrated, and the side windows have been redesigned so the driver can actually reach out of them. Previously, the window would just vent out toward the rear, letting in some fresh air, but not enough to stick your hand out.

Semi Specs and Delivery Timelines

Tesla is launching two distinct variants: a Standard Range trim with 325 miles of range and a Long Range trim capable of 500 miles while fully loaded at 82,000 lbs. Both models utilize a three-motor powertrain on the rear axles and are designed for full autonomy in the future.

Perhaps the most impressive feat is the vehicle's weight. Many experts believed an electric semi would be too heavy to carry a profitable amount of cargo, but Tesla’s Standard Range model features a curb weight of less than 20,000 lbs. Even the Long Range version stays at a lean 23,000 lbs. When you factor in the extra 2,000-lb allowance for zero-emission trucks, the payload gap between the Semi and a diesel rig virtually disappears. This efficiency is driven by an incredible 1.7 kWh per mile energy consumption rating — a number that is staggering considering the vehicle's size.

High-Volume Production in Nevada

To support this rollout, Tesla is scaling its dedicated Semi factory in Nevada. This facility is separate from Gigafactory Nevada and is being designed for a high-volume ramp. Tesla aims to eventually reach a production capacity of 50,000 units annually.

This expansion comes just as Tesla opened its first public Megacharger station, which can provide up to 1.2MW of power to the Semi. This allows the Long Range trim to recover 60% of its range in just 30 minutes, effectively matching the mandatory break times for most commercial drivers.

As mass production begins this year, the Tesla Semi is poised to prove that the future of long-haul trucking isn't just electric — it's more efficient than anything currently on the road.
