Hard to believe it’s already been a full year since the most unique Supercharger station on earth fired up its grills. Tesla’s retro-futuristic drive-in diner concept in Hollywood is turning one next week, and the team is throwing a big celebration to mark the occasion.
The official @tesla_na account shared the news on X, inviting fans to the Tesla Diner’s first birthday party on Tuesday, July 21. There’s a lot to look forward to at the event, including:

One Year of Drive-In Dining
When the Tesla Diner first opened in Hollywood on July 21, 2025, it immediately became a massive bucket-list destination for owners wanting to experience the novel charging station. It not only offers a true drive-in movie theater experience but also has an extensive menu of high-quality, Tesla-themed food, not to mention collectibles and merchandise you can only get at the Tesla Diner.
Much of the Tesla Diner was built from recycled Cybertruck steel, highlighting structural engineering alongside retro aesthetics. The location originally launched to such unprecedented demand that Tesla had to scale down the menu just a month into operation to keep up with the kitchen rush.
For the first anniversary bash, Tesla is pulling out all the stops. Roller-skating servers will be gliding through the charging stalls to drop off food orders from a special, limited birthday menu, and next-gen products like the purpose-built Cybercab robotaxi and Optimus robot will be on display for visitors. Up on the open-air roof deck, the skypad area will host a live DJ set to entertain guests under the stars while the vehicles below execute a synchronized light show.
Signed Collectibles Up For Grabs
The biggest prize of the night is a premium piece of memorabilia. Chief designer Franz von Holzhausen, who led the architectural design of the Tesla Diner, has hand-signed 50 exclusive Diner birthday hats. These black hats feature a neon-style birthday burger with the Tesla Diner logo, Franz's signature, and an individual number out of 50 right on the brim. To score one, you’ll need to be one of the first 50 to log a food and beverage order of at least $15 from your car after the clock strikes midnight on the eve of July 21.

While there have been persistent rumblings of the Tesla Diner opening more locations and even going global, nothing concrete has materialized beyond the original site, even a year after its launch. However, Tesla continues to eye expansion, with several locations reportedly being identified as likely targets for the next Tesla Diner. These include SpaceX's hometown of Starbase, Texas, and, more recently, Palo Alto, California.
The Tesla Diner anniversary party wraps up just a day before Tesla’s Q2 2026 earnings call on Wednesday, July 22, making it a packed week for fans looking ahead to the future of the brand.
