Tesla is all about incorporating hidden features into their products. Even their product names often come from pop culture references.

While Tesla has mostly moved away from truly hidden easter eggs and instead made them more accessible through its Toy Box feature, several hidden gems remain, including breaking the glass on the Cybertruck.

Now Tesla has quietly added another one to the Tesla app.

Rainbow Stats

In the recently added FSD Stats in the Tesla app, Tesla lets drivers view how many miles they’ve driven on FSD. With the introduction of FSD v14 Lite for HW3 vehicles, those owners now have access to the feature as well.

And now Tesla has added a fun rainbow effect to the percentage donut graph on the left. If you tap the graph rapidly five times, it will switch from blue to a rainbow effect, much like Rainbow Road inside the vehicle. What is it with Tesla and rainbows anyway?

The effect looks best when you have a large percentage of your driving done by FSD. This Easter egg works on Android and iOS.

In the Vehicle In the Future?

What’s interesting is that this Easter egg is only active in the Tesla app and not in the vehicle, even though both platforms share the same underlying web code for FSD stats.

It’s possible the code is incorporated into the vehicle’s software instead of being fetched each time, so we may need a newer vehicle update to see this effect in the vehicle.
