Tesla has expanded its lifestyle catalog with a fresh sports accessory inspired by its long-awaited robotaxi. The newly released Tesla Aurum Pickleball Paddle by Selkirk brings a distinct gold-accented finish designed to match the exterior styling of the Cybercab.
The launch comes during an active week for shop updates. Tesla recently introduced new interior accessories for the Model Y, adding sliding trays for the center console alongside a hidden under-seat storage tray for extra cabin utility. Now, attention has shifted to recreation with higher-end court equipment.
Cybercab Styling and Performance Hardware
According to the official Tesla Shop listing, the Aurum paddle is a collaborative project developed by Javier Verdura, Tesla’s Director of Product Design, and Selkirk’s Tom Barnes. The product is a special finish of the existing Tesla Plaid Paddle, retaining its shape, open throat aerodynamic cutout, and all-court handling characteristics while adopting gold geometric patterns and bronze edge badges to pay homage to the Cybercab.
The paddle is priced at $295 for the standalone unit and $350 when bundled with a carrying bag.
As for specs, the paddle features a 16mm PureFoam core paired with Florek Carbon Fiber and an InfiniGrit textured surface for spin control. It weighs between 7.8 and 8.1 ounces, measures 16.4 inches long and 7.5 inches wide, and features integrated MOI perimeter weights designed to keep contact smooth and stable across the sweet spot. A wrapped white handle with branded finishing tape completes the setup.
Expanding Apparel and Event Momentum
Alongside the paddle, Tesla also introduced the Aurum Pickleball Tee for $40. The shirt adds to Tesla’s lifestyle lineup after last month's limited-edition summer gear drop of outdoor accessories and apparel.
The design cues tie directly into the buzz around Tesla’s Cybercab. Tesla recently announced its Cybercab launch event in Austin, Texas, where the gold-toned vehicle is expected to take center stage soon. For pickleball enthusiasts, the new Aurum paddle offers a subtle nod to Tesla’s upcoming autonomous era.
