Tesla is starting to roll out the latest Summer Update to vehicles with FSD in Europe. Once a vehicle has subscribed to FSD for several months, Tesla typically puts it on the FSD track, meaning it receives the latest FSD updates but has to wait longer for feature releases.
Since new features are merged into Tesla’s main dev branch, they aren't part of Tesla’s FSD updates, which are on a separate code branch. This causes a delay in these new features rolling out to vehicles with FSD.
With the Summer Update being an exciting update with Preferred Routes, Grok Vehicle Commands, and more, it makes the wait harder. Tesla announced the Summer Update more than a month ago, and we’re only now seeing vehicles with the latest FSD builds receiving it for the first time.
Tesla Begins Merging FSD and Summer Update
Tesla is now starting that merge in Europe with software update 2026.27.100.1. The release includes FSD 14.2.2.6 for hardware 4 vehicles, while also adding the 2026 Summer Update.
Europe is the first region seeing this merge, but other regions such as Oceania and North America are likely not far behind. In North America, in addition to vehicles on the latest FSD release, hardware 3 vehicles on v14 Lite are also waiting for the Summer Update.
What FSD Owners Are Missing From the Summer Update

Additions include Preferred Routes, smarter Automatic Navigation, Grok vehicle commands, Caraoke scoring, customizable driving visualization zoom, mobile custom-wrap uploads, Camera Preview while driving, arrival-energy settings from the Tesla app, Apple Music queuing, Supercharger search by site name, and the ability to disable touch input on rear displays.
Newer Model 3 and Model Y vehicles also received welcome animations, while some features such as browser camera access and Caraoke scoring require AMD Ryzen infotainment hardware.
