That temporary transit setup looks set for an internal shift. Clues uncovered in Tesla app update version 4.60.5 indicate that Tesla is preparing to tap its own commercial Robotaxi network to shuttle service customers around instead of relying on loaner fleets or outside rideshare companies.

There’s no official word on exactly when Tesla will activate Robotaxi rides for service center visits, but deployment will almost certainly shadow active autonomous operational zones.
Tesla’s Robotaxi service currently operates across seven major metropolitan areas: Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and the Bay Area. The timing is particularly notable because Cybercabs officially joined the Robotaxi fleet in Austin last week, opening up even cheaper public trips in dedicated two-seaters following a dedicated launch event in the city.
Because Austin serves as the primary testbed for most aspects of Tesla’s Robotaxi network, expect local service centers near Giga Texas to be the first to offer driverless rides back home while your car is on the lift.
