Prepare for another FSD Beta this Friday, August 10th. Tesla has been on a roll recently, steadily releasing improved versions of their FSD Betas to testers. The current beta version of the FSD is 9.2.
Tesla initially planned on releasing version 9.3 before version 10, but has since decided to skip 9.3 and instead focus on v10. Version 10 is now expected this Friday at midnight PT.
Re-trained Neural Net
Version 10 of FSD is said to bring some major changes to the beta. It will include a completely re-trained neural net. Elon Musk has said that it will be “next-level." Ever since the introduction of version 9, we've been seeing some big improvements, so for Elon to say version 10 is next level, this certainly sets a high bar. Hopefully we'll see drastic improvements in v10, similar to what we saw with the introduction of vision in v9.
And Beta 10 is a step change improvement from what you have!

V10 UI Improvements
Beyond Autopilot improvements in v10, Elon has also said that this new version will include UI improvements as well.
In version 9, Tesla introduced a completely new FSD UI. Beyond a completely new visualization, cars now also display brake lights if they're on. Based on what Elon has said before, some improvements we may see in v10 may be the renderings of different kinds of animals on the screen, or maybe the ability for Teslas to recognize and display turn signals or emergency lights in the visualization.
Public Release
Version 10 is said to be the last major version before the public release of the FSD Beta. The FSD Beta is expected to still remain a beta when it's released to the public, but one that will be much safer and polished for everyday Joe. Elon says that Tesla is on track to release the button that will give owners the ability to download the FSD Beta in version 10.1. Releasing the button in 10.1 will give Tesla a chance to clean up any issues or bugs that are introduced in version 10.0.

We believe Tesla is getting close to releasing the FSD Beta to a wider audience. During Tesla's all hands meeting last week, Elon discussed the FSD Beta, the upcoming $25,000 Tesla and Superchargers. While talking about the FSD Beta he communicated to everyone on the call that Tesla will release the button to allow others to download the FSD Beta two weeks after Tesla releases version 10 this Friday. We're not sure whether he's very confident or he wants to put a little added pressure on the team to get to the finish line, but either way, Tesla is getting close.
Update: The v10 beta has been released. Check out our first impressions and everything new in the release.
