We are seeking a talented and passionate freelance writer to join our team and contribute to our site's news section with a heavy focus on Tesla-related content.
As a news writer, you will be responsible for curating and covering the top daily Tesla news, creating engaging articles that appeal to our audience of Tesla enthusiasts. This can be a part-time or full-time position, offering flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
Availability during normal business hours for a minimum of 20 hours per week, or up to 40 hours.
Promptly cover company news, app updates and vehicle software updates. Write informative articles covering the latest news, based on both, assigned and self-generated topics
Thoroughly cover new Tesla software features, including feature reviews, previews and how-to guides. Ideal candidate will also be able to occasionally cover important news that breaks outside of normal business hours
Stay up to date on Tesla-related news and show initiative by curating relevant article topics
Use image editing programs such as Photoshop, Pixelmator, or similar tools to crop, resize or create simple images for articles.
OPTIONAL: Use video editing skills to create video content
Requirements
Current Tesla ownership is required, as it provides in-depth knowledge of and familiarity with the driver experience
A deep passion and enthusiasm for the Tesla brand and products is a must for generating ideas and connecting with the audience
Demonstrated writing experience is essential, preferably in the technology and/or automotive fields. Must provide multiple samples of your previous work during the application process.
Compensation / Perks
Fully remote position
Flexible scheduling (minimum of 20 hours/week)
Competitive pay of $35/hour
